C'est si bon
La Caille is widely regarded as the best restaurant in Salt Lake City. Not for the food, but for the atmosphere and scenery. I was there for a reception last night. The outdoor scenery and atmosphere was awesome, however the interior was lacking. Specifically, the mens' room. Take a look:
The rubbish bin overfloweth! Dee-scuz-ting.
I talked to Michelle King for awhile. (Does everyone remember when she and Randall anchored together at KUTV? Another reason I miss the 80's.)
The highlight of the evening was assisting Sterling Poulsen with the KUTV/KJAZZ weather report for the KJAZZ channel, or as I called it - "the ghetto news."

Reason #3 why I hate public restrooms.
Here is a tip on the food at La Caille. It sucks, unless you like Costco food. Believe it, I have very reliable sources.
I remember Michelle King and Randall Carlisle together in the 80's. That's when my news obsession was born. Ah, the good times.
So tell me hjustin, what is your involvement in the local SLC media? I've always watched KUTV. I did my internship there in 2001. Good place, good people.
Michelle King by the way, is a lovely woman. I first met her when I was a production assistant at KUED. I booked for for the "Civic Dialogue" show with Ted Capener.
Then, during my internship, she was always very helpful and had great advice.
p.s. I thought breakfast at La Caille was awesome. But yes, the restrooms are ugly.
Leah, I think I know one of your sources. Didn't I spend some time with her in Las Vegas?
Lincoln, I'm only tangentially connected to the SLC media. My friend, b-lo, is the marketing director for a credit union. She is regularly wined and dined by the tv station sales reps and is always invited to the big station parties.
No, my source is actually a waitress at La Caille. You should hear some of her other stories. Apparantly the owners of the restaurant...PSYCHO.
The true injustice, Leah, was that they ran out of wine an hour before the party ended. Though it may have been KUTV's fault, it was NOT impressive. (I should take personal responsibility for a bottle or so, however. You understand, don't you?)
