Palm Beach Winter

VT sent me this picture from the Palm Beach Lights on Party that was held last night. Wine and cheese was served. People wore typical madras shorts, Polos, sundresses, and sandals. Now that is a winter celebration I can get behind.

As it stands, this is as close as I'm getting to Palm Beach Lights on Party:

Sadly, that is not white sand in the background.

Today's Song: Move This, Technotronic (I had the cassette single!)

I could live in Florida! I am not sure I could deal with all the blue hairs. I mean with nice weather, comes the idea you would be hanging out with the Costanzas. Not sure I want them walking into my bathroom. I imagine those wine and cheese parties are full of Scooters. Not the kind I dream of driving to work but the kind some people take for a spin in to the local drive thru to get ice cream, or around the rest home.

I like the idea of living down under better. Santa comes into town on one of those bay watch boats. The days are long .. warm .. and your really fair away from Utah v. BYU football. I can actually smell the sun tan lotion in the air. I can imagine my little island princesses would love it too. Running into the ocean to help Santa out of his boat! Then again it snow last night.

My oldest could not run fast enough to find her gloves, hat and coat to help dad with the drive way and playing with the dog. She scream with delight as she jumped and fell into the snow. Imagine her surprise when she got all wet and discovered snow is actually pretty cold. The joy of that discovery.

I would also miss my family and friends. I am not sure being warm is worth the price. I am glad I will be spending the holiday with my family. Cheers ..to the holiday season ..

What I wanted to capture on camera, but couldn't, was the Old Gent (had to be close to 70)who strolled up in a suit, fancy Panama hat, pirate earrings, blue tooth device and what appeared to be his own island princess on his arm. How cute of him to bring his granddaughter! (Seriously, she looked no more than 14.) Later, at wine and cheese, I heard the little lady introduce Old as her husband!
Oh, and I don't think you can escape Utah/BYU football. The pain reaches far and wide.
