Five Things
I love about SLC - in no particular order:
1. The valley view afforded by an early evening run down (and up) Chandler Drive.
2. The drinking fountain by Shriner's Hospital.
3. The Little America Hotel.
4. Rio Grande Cafe.
5. The drive from my flat to the airport - it's nearly a straight line along North Temple. (I do, however, loathe the drive back - particularly late at night or early in the morning.)

That's quite the unusual list. Are there five things you hate about SLC?
Five things that depress me, maybe:
1. The yardsale that was once Crossroads mall. (Can we please have the big "reveal" already?!)
2. The suburban sprawl of the valley.
3. That downtown does not come alive after five.
4. The liquor laws.
5. That Traxx doesn't run an express line to Wendover.
1. Crossroads needs a hug.
3. Does downtown EVER come alive?
Well, it does on Wednesday and Thursdays in July and August with the summer concerts at Gallivan. Put those on my "love" list.
Living in stupid Fresno has given me a greater appreciation for everything SLC.
1. Just the mountains, and what it looks like on a clear day driving on Wasatch drive.
2. Every memory or lack there of...for the last 30 years.
3. You have to be an idiot to get lost in the town.
I could go on....but what always depresses me is the some of the culture and definitely the politics.
I love that I can walk, alone, downtown at night and feel relatively safe.
Am glad you are going to feel the love this weekend Kelly at the "80's Ladies Party". Do you think you will make a mix tape, or just listen to your old ones?
I cannot wait to feel the love. While we drink Oprah's Legends Ball, Lemon Drop Martini's, we will more than likely make a mix tape. Got to love it.
Downtown definitely blows, if you're of the mind (as I am) that city streets should be trod upon by actual people. I'm going to have to come up with my list of 5...
