The Moral of the Story is:
Motorola makes good phones.
On Sunday, I was sitting outside on B-Lo's deck. I intended to send a text message/e-mail to someone, but B-Lo didn't think it was a good idea. She went for my phone, I defended, and the Motorola Razr V3x that I bought on eBay in November 06 went crashing to the asphalt four stories below us. The top part of the phone (the screen) broke off from the bottom of the phone. Surprisingly though the body of the phone still worked. It powered on, could dial out, could receive calls, etc., but the screen was completely dead. So I had to get a new phone. I thought I wanted the Samsung Blackjack, but instead I opted for the Blackberry Pearl. This phone is smarter than I am and I am very much intimidated by it. However, I am looking forward to being able to "mobile blog" once again, and it is nice to be able to check, send, and receive e-mail so quickly. I just wish new phone has the lady with the Australian accent living in it that says "Say A Command". I had quite a crush on her.
The balcony is lit up with white lights. No phones allowed on it now.

Ahh...the Blackberry Pearl. I would totally cheat on my Krzr for that phone.
Was it going to be a drunk text? If so, never a good idea, I'm siding with B-Lo.
The whole thing happened in slow motion. The ride down the elevator to the collect the sad remains was awful.
Does anyone else have a problem with Cingular's corporate policy of not allowing chairs in any of their stores? Lame.
I'm not a Cingular customer, but that is lame. I love to sit while I shop; it's one of the wonderful things about shoe shopping.
you made the right choice. the pearl is the better than any boyfriend i've ever had. watch out, it's addicting--before you know it, you won't need human contact.
Lincoln: I liked the looks of the Krazr.
UP: Not so much a drunken text as a phone call that required a little more careful thought.
B-Lo: "You actually have a policy against comfort?"
Bellum: I had to buy one of those ugly gel skins for the little guy because I am paranoid about dropping it. It's so leetle and seemingly fragile.
i've dropped it twice, still works. though i did have a dream that i dropped it and the buttons fell out. i cried. i'm a clutz so perhaps i need a gel skin too, where'd you pick it up.
I got a three-pack of gel skins (clear, lime green, and royal blue) for $20 at the "No Chairs Allowed" Cingular store at Gateway. They are UGLY, but certainly better than a broken or scratched up phone.
I like your new phone "skin" but it does kind of remind me of plastic on furniture or rollers in hair at the grocery store. When WILL you want it to look hot?
I'm kidding though, I have the same skin for my iPod and it's prevented major shock from a few klutzy drops.
I pity women that wear rollers in public. They are obviously friendless.
Ohhh, the blackberry pearl. sigh. Finally Cingular has a hot phone. It's funny because Monday morning I was on cigular's website and had it in my shopping cart and was very close to ordering, but I resisted. I had just spent way too much on a pair of shoes a few days before. I still might do it - I would get the red. The keys seemed really small, are they ok?
The keys are really tiny, but I think they are manageable.
I had buyer's remorse yesterday due to the cost and went to Cingular to return it and get the Razr V3xx instead. However, after comparing the two, I couldn't part with the Pearl.
It's amazing what it can do. I had no idea.
